FLORIDA! - SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove.

Florida was the best holiday I have EVER had. I know that I have been to other great places like Disneyland Paris, Wales, France, but this was special and by that I mean REALLY special!

We stayed in a 4-star Hotel called Renaissance Orlando. Outside is a huge swimming pool that we swam in all week with our new friends!

SeaWorld...

The first theme park we went to was SeaWorld. SeaWorld was awesome because it probably had the most INSANE rides.

Our first ride was Mako, SeaWorld’s newest ride - It was a really scary ride but I didn’t go on it because 1) it looked horrifying and 2) it is the LONGEST, FASTEST AND TALLEST RIDE IN ORLANDO!!!  My Dad is crazy because he loved Mako and he went on it three times!

There were three shows, 1st was Blue Horizons (a dolphin show with soaring birds) then Sea Lion High and last but not least, the Shamu show! I loved Sea Lion High because it was all based on high school but with sea lions, and at the end a walrus came on stage. My favourite show was the Shamu show because it was amazing seeing killer whales up-close.

Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin was a cold ride that spun you round and at the end you were able to see the penguins swimming and walking. Journey to Atlantis is quite a scary ride. You first of all go through the kingdom of Atlantis and soon you will be plunging a very steep drop! As you are thinking it is all over, IT’S NOT; it then takes you into another drop.

Food...

For our lunch we went to Sharks Underwater Grill. As you sat down you noticed you were sitting next to a HUGE tank with sharks swimming back and forth with their beady eyes looking AT YOU!!! For dinner we went to Dine with Shamu, which is a buffet and where you sit next to the killer whales habitat. We were so close, they even splashed us.

I am giving SeaWorld 8/10

Aquatica...

The first ride we went on was Taumata Racer. Mum, dad and me had to race through some tubes and then slide down a steep fall whilst getting splashed in the face with water! This is one of my favourites.

Next was Dolphin Plunge. Dolphin Plunge is a water slide where you slide through a twisting and turning tube and zoom past the Commerson’s dolphin exhibit. Sometimes you see them swim by.

Omaka Rocka was good because you sit in a rubber ring and slide all over the place. You also might get a bit WET!

Whanau Way was AWESOME because you go really fast. It is a two person waterslide where you ZOOM through a tube all the way into a pool. I went on it with my dad.

Roa’s Rapids is where you get a lifejacket and float along the water while the rapids take you round. It is similar to a lazy river but with rapids! :) This is good if you just want to relax and be in the water at the same time. This is another favourite of mine, I went on it more than four times because it’s that good! :)

Loggerhead Lane is a slow and peaceful ride that takes you past an exhibit full of colourful fish swimming around. Again it is a two-person rubber ring ride.

Walkabout Waters is a HUGE play area where you can get wet and squirt people! You can have fun sliding down the slippery slides and get soaked under the huge bucket.

Big Surf Shores is a big wave pool, the further you go the bigger the waves, which splash you all over the place. You can swim in it without the waves or with the waves; it is up to you, as the waves only last several minutes so enjoy it while you can but don’t worry the waves will come on again. It is a lot of fun to get splashed around; the waves really start getting big in the last few seconds!!!

Banana Beach is a buffet with yummy food where you can sit outside and eat under the shade. It is a perfect place to eat lots of delicious food. I mixed a load of food and drinks in a bowl and Lily and I were laughing so much!!!

The best part about Aquatica was going on all the water slides!

I give Aquatica 10/10

Busch Gardens...

This day was probably the busiest day possible. IT WAS INSANE, and in the end I was so tired!!!

First ride of the day was Cobra’s Curse, Busch Gardens latest ride. I was so nervous because on the leaflet it looked massive but when we got there it looked much smaller! When we got on, I was shaking but when we got past the first drop I was fine, I LOVED IT! #SCAREDYCAT. We did spin around and we did go backwards but it was AWESOME!!! I wish I could go on it again and again, Cobra’s Curse was one of my top favourites!

Next was my absolute favourite, Cheetah Hunt. Mum and I thought it was going to be a straight fast ride, BUT IT WASN’T, it was much more epic!!! You first got boosted into a fast push and then through a tight twist. The top speed was 60mph. You then went up a ramp and circled down then there would be a little drop and then you went upside down, that was my favourite part... sorry I can’t tell you everything you’ll just have to go to Busch Gardens and find out yourself!! I went on it twice because it was that epic. #BESTRIDEEVER!!!

Falcon’s Fury was a very scary ride, which my mum and dad went on and my mum was TERRIFIED, the closer the time came to it the more worried she would get, but after going on it she LOVED IT! I am glad she went on it because YOLO (You only live once!) and it was an experience of a lifetime.

Congo River Rapids was awesome as well. You are in a raft where everyone can get soaking but luckily I didn’t!! I was really hot after so Andy gave me a hug because he was soaking.

Serengeti Safari was cool. We were on a truck looking around at the animals, we also got to feed the giraffes lettuce but they have black slippery tongues.... ewwwww. We then went to feed the flamingos and to see Harry the sloth. Then we got to interact with a HIPPO. It was SO cute!!!

My favourite ride was definitely Cheetah Hunt. It is the best ride I have ever experienced. #AWESOME

I give Busch Gardens 10/10!!!

Discovery Cove...

Discovery Cove was amazing; we were able to swim with DOLPHINS!!! The dolphin we swam with was called Yoko. When we were swimming with Yoko we could kiss her, swim with her and she splashed us. She also did flips.

The cool thing about Discovery Cove was that there was a snack bar with this delicious, scrumptious and yummylishous soda slushie drinks. I had White Cherry. MMMMMMMM YUMMY!

The best part about Discovery Cove was swimming with the dolphins!

I give Discovery Cove 9/10.

The best part about my holiday was ALL OF IT!! I hope you enjoyed reading my long blog! Enjoy your day.

Bunny and Boo’s Adventure at Gulliver's Land

Today bunny and I went to Gulliver's Land in Milton Keyne with my little brother and Mum & Dad.. It was ALOT of fun!! I really enjoyed all the rides I went on and I think bunny enjoyed it too.

My favourite ride was called Python, it was a rollercoaster that is quite twisty, but overall i think it’s a great ride to go on and it’s great fun. I also like the drop tower which was great fun as well.

Bunny’s  favourite ride was the carousel. We had a lot of fun on all the other rollercoasters as a family. All the rides were tiny compared to the ones I have been on in Florida but that's ok because I like small roller coasters that take a minute as well.

Overall it was a great day out! I am really glad we came here on the last day of the half term. I give it a 10/10 because there was a lot of halloween theme to it. Also because the rides were EPIC and because there were people dressed up as zombies and witches.

It was a good second adventure with bunny!

Bunny and Boo's Adventures at Warwick Castle

Hey guys. I am just doing a little blog to let you guys know that I am going to try to do more blogs more often because I know I haven’t done many recently.

I am also letting you know that I am going to do blogs that include me going on adventures with the bunny that I got for my birthday. Our first adventure was today at Warwick Castle.

Mine and Bunny’s adventure was at Warwick Castle today. We walked around the castle exploring different rooms with armour for horses, swords, dining room and lots more.

We also went in the Horrible Histories maze. Bunny and me had a lot of fun collecting the stamps hidden around the maze. We also got a badge as the prize.

My favourite part was just exploring really, I loved watching the shows as well. Bunny’s favourite part was the whole adventure! (Except the car journey.)

It was quite a long car journey but I think it’s worth going! I give Warwick Castle an 8/10 because there are some good shows and apparently there is a terrifying dungeon (but I DIDN’T go in!)

One thing I do suggest to Warwick Castle though is that they make more things to do for kids and adults! I would have liked the playground to be open.

I hope you enjoyed reading my 1st adventure with bunny and hope you read all my other blogs!

Awesome Party Bags for 10 Year Olds

It was my 10th Birthday party yesterday and I had 5 of my friends to my house for a movie night. We had such an awesome time. Mum made us hotdogs, pizza, fries with fruit and veggies. We also had scrumptious cupcakes for dessert and then settled down to watch Alice in Wonderland with popcorn and sweeties.

I had a brilliant piñata cake that had lots of little rainbow sweets inside when I cut into it.

I had some lovely presents from my friends and I sent them home with these amazing goodie bags...

Mum found these brilliant plastic popcorn pots and we filled them with the goodies below...

There are some Millions, Nerds, Popping Candy, Whistle lolly, Maoam's, Lip balm, Duck eraser,  Panda keyring, Highlighter pen  and a colour change pen.

I made these pandas keyring by myself using Hama Beads. I hope my friends like them :)

It's my actual birthday on Wednesday so I am really looking forward to that now but I had the best 10th birthday party with my friends :O)

My Personal Best!

I was very proud of myself yesterday as I went to Junior Parkrun after a few weeks off. It was my 21st Parkrun which means I have run the same distance as a marathon, so next time I go I will get my marathon wristband. I also got my PB (personal best) which I was very surprised at! I ran 2KM in 10 minutes and 24 seconds which I think is pretty awesome!

It was our local junior Parkrun's 1st birthday so we all got to have some cake afterwards which was yummy! If you have a junior Parkrun near you then you should go as it is lots of fun and keeps you fit :)

Selfie Mic Review

Sing like a star and create your own music videos with SelfieMic.
SelfieMic RRP £19.99

SelfieMic features an adjustable selfie stick with karaoke microphone, earpiece and free StarMaker app, which allows you to sing, lip sync and perform to thousands of your favourite songs, including tracks made famous by Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Justine Bieber and many more.

I've been having loads of fun with Selfie Mic recently, I love being able to sing along to songs and record myself doing it. I do wish there were more that I know though as I don't seem to know that many. You can save the videos that you make and even share them on social media. I think I will practise more before I share any though ;)

In the box is the microphone, earpiece and instructions. You need to use a smart phone which is compatible and download the free Starmaker app to be able to play.

I like all the different effects you can put on the video like different sounds and colours. I think the space sound is really funny. I can't wait to play with this when my friends come round it will be much more fun to do with my friends :)

Kids Eat Out: Pizza Express

Last weekend we were invited to Pizza Express to check out their Ice Age Collision Course activity sheets that come with each Piccolo activity pack. We had an awesome meal and even got to make some dough shapes to take home too!

The Piccolo menu costs £6.95 and has three courses. Drinks are extra.

The Ice Age Collision Course activity sheet is really good and I can't wait to watch the film now!

For starter I had baked dough balls with garlic butter and salad. They were yummy, the salad was fresh and delicious too, no floppy carrots here! ;)

My pizza was a Pollo which is chicken, it was really delicious but I would have liked a little bit more cheese as it was quite tomatoey.

For dessert I had a sundae which is a scoop of vanilla gelato with either fruit or chocolate sauce and a mini cone on top. You also get a bambinoccino which is frothy milk with chocolate sprinkled on top.

I love Pizza Express and can't wait to go again :)

Kids Eat Out: Colman's Fish & Chips South Shields

When we went on holiday at half term we went to South Shields for the day, Mum went on Trip Advisor to find the best Fish & Chips in South Shields and we discovered Colman's Fish & Chips. Colman's have a take away and a restaurant and we decided that we would sit and eat in the restaurant as it was a pretty chilly day.

The kids menu had an under the sea theme and was full of puzzles, anagrams and colouring for me to do! I really enjoyed this and even took it home to finish it.

On the kids menu (Under 12's) you could choose from...

  • Fish & Chips - £4.50
  • Fishcake & Chips - £4.50
  • Sausage & Chips - £4.50
  • Crispy Chicken Fillets & Chips - £4.50

Each item comes with Heinz Tomato Ketchup and a Simply Fruity drink or glass of cordial.

I went for sausage and chips as I am not too keen on fish. I was a bit worried about the chips as they were so thick and usually they are very potatoey when they are thick but these were really really nice.   I ate everything on my plate as it was delicious!

Mum & Dad had the fish & chips special and were very impressed. We will definitely go back on our next visit to South Shields :)

* We paid for our meals, I just wanted to write about it for my Kids Eat Out feature :)

Kids Eat Out: GBK Metro Centre Gateshead

We have eaten at Gourmet Burger Kitchen loads of times, it is Mum & Dad's favourite place to go for burgers. Kids get their very own menu with a colouring sheet on the back so once we had ordered our burgers we sat and coloured them in.

The junior menu is £6.95 and for that you can choose a burger, side and a drink. You can even add a dessert for £1.00 if you wish but I am always too full for that.

The burgers you can choose from are cheeseburger, chicken burger or veggie burger. The sides are chunky skin-on or skinny fries, corn on the cob or a simple green salad. For drinks you can choose from fresh apple or orange juice, spring water, lots of different milkshake flavours and soft drinks like Coca-Cola or Sprite.

I went for a cheeseburger (without cheese), skinny fries and a chocolate milkshake. It was really delicious but I was so full after my milkshake. It is so filling! Next time I won't drink so much before my burger arrives.

The staff at the Metro Centre GBK were very friendly and super fast! Our whole meal was awesome so GBK gets a big thumbs up from me :)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Book Review

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is an action packed adventure full of excitement and thrill. It goes all the way from wizarding at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry to the big battle against Lord Voldemort in the Chamber of Secrets! If you like that sort of thing then carry on reading...

This is Harrys 2nd year back at Hogwarts and the fun has just begun, Harry, Hermione and Ron have all come back to Hogwarts. Crazy stuff has happened this year! Hermione gets petrified, Harry well what can I say all the bad stuff happens to him he meets Lord Voldemort, he hears voices (which are speaking in parseltongue) and this boy named Colin Creevey loved Harry so much that he couldn't stop talking to him. And Ron well he coughed up SLUGS!

Rating - For this book I’d give it a big, fat, juicy 7 out of 10 because there were quite funny parts in the story but I like the films more because the action is so much better! I suggest you read the collection of Harry Potter and bring your imagination to life!

Kids Eat Out: Thaikhun Nottingham

A few weeks ago we went to a new restaurant in Nottingham called Thaikhun. It is a Thai restaurant. I had never had Thai food before so it was a new experience for me :)

The kids menu was also a colouring sheet which I enjoyed colouring in. The menu had just 4 items on it and we ordered 3 of them for me and my little brother to share.

We also had some Thai prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce while we waited for our meals to come.

Our meals were served on plastic piggy plates which were cute. The meals we had were Phad Thai Dek, Khao Moo Deng and Bangkok Pop Corn Chicken.

We loved all 3 of the meals we ordered but our favourite was Khao Moo Deng which is is BBQ pork slices served on a bed of steamed rice, with sweet BBQ sauce. It was so yummy!!

We didn't manage to eat everything as we had 3 meals but we gave it a good go and we would love to go back one day. Our favourite part of the meal was the puddings  :)

We ordered 3 puddings to share between all 4 of us so we could all have a taste of them. My favourite was the chocolate fudge cake, it was so gooey and delicious!

I didn't really like the Pancake Sankaya very much, they aren't like the pancakes we have at home, Mum really enjoyed this though.

We all loved the ice cream. we chose chocolate and coconut, none of us had coconut ice cream before and it was really good.

We had a really great time at Thaikhun and the food was yummy. I can't wait to go back there one day. :)

Check out my Mum's full review of Thaikhun Nottingham over on her blog.
