Kids Eat Out: Thaikhun Nottingham

A few weeks ago we went to a new restaurant in Nottingham called Thaikhun. It is a Thai restaurant. I had never had Thai food before so it was a new experience for me :)

The kids menu was also a colouring sheet which I enjoyed colouring in. The menu had just 4 items on it and we ordered 3 of them for me and my little brother to share.

We also had some Thai prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce while we waited for our meals to come.

Our meals were served on plastic piggy plates which were cute. The meals we had were Phad Thai Dek, Khao Moo Deng and Bangkok Pop Corn Chicken.

We loved all 3 of the meals we ordered but our favourite was Khao Moo Deng which is is BBQ pork slices served on a bed of steamed rice, with sweet BBQ sauce. It was so yummy!!

We didn't manage to eat everything as we had 3 meals but we gave it a good go and we would love to go back one day. Our favourite part of the meal was the puddings  :)

We ordered 3 puddings to share between all 4 of us so we could all have a taste of them. My favourite was the chocolate fudge cake, it was so gooey and delicious!

I didn't really like the Pancake Sankaya very much, they aren't like the pancakes we have at home, Mum really enjoyed this though.

We all loved the ice cream. we chose chocolate and coconut, none of us had coconut ice cream before and it was really good.

We had a really great time at Thaikhun and the food was yummy. I can't wait to go back there one day. :)

Check out my Mum's full review of Thaikhun Nottingham over on her blog.

Kids Eat Out: Byron Hamburger

Last week I had an inset day but my little brother didn't, so Mum and me went to town on the bus for a girlie day. There was a new Byron Hamburgers restaurant in the shopping centre and I love burgers so we thought we would try it out for lunch.

The kids menu (Mini Byron) comes as an activity sheet that you can turn into an Origami Fortune Teller which is really cool! I've never seen something like that at a restaurant before and it was really good because it had the instructions how to make it on so now I have been making them all the time ever since.

From the menu you can choose a main, side and a drink for 6.50, I went for a Mini Classic burger and fries which comes with carrot and cucumber sticks. I chose to have a chocolate milkshake which was £2.25 extra so my meal in total came to £8.75. I was so full I didn't have a dessert but could have chosen from chocolate brownie or ice cream for an extra £2.00.

My meal was so delicious and the burger bun was so squishy and nice. The burger had lettuce and tomato in it, I had to take the tomato out because I don't like it. The carrot had started to go a little bit dry but not as bad as some places we have been to. The fries were yummy!

Here I am just about to tuck into my meal, the milkshake was thick and had chocolate bits in it and I loved it! Byron gets a really big thumbs up from me and Mum said her burger and fries was gorgeous too!

Have you ever visited Byron? We will definitely be going back.

* We paid for our meals, I just wanted to write about it for my Kids Eat Out feature :)

My Minecraft Wishlist

My favourite ever game is Minecraft.

Here are some Minecraft goodies that I would LOVE!!...

I have got Minecraft on my iPad and PC but I really want it for my PS3 too.

I have heard Story Mode is very different to Minecraft but I still really want to play it.
I would really like this on my bedroom wall.

I love to colour and Minecraft would be the best things to colour.

This would be perfect to take on holiday, Mum always buys us an activity book when we travel.

Stampy is my favourite You Tuber, I can't wait to get his book.

I love wearing hoodies and this would be just perfect for me.

There are so many different Lego Minecraft sets and I think I like the look of The Nether Fortress the most.

I already have loads of Minecraft soft toys, books and figures. I love making Hama Bead key rings too, here are just a few I have made...

What is your favourite game?

Saltrock Surfwear

I was sent some clothes from Saltrock Surfwear before Christmas and Mum has written about them on her blog but I wanted to share the photos on my blog as I really like them.

One of the t-shirts and hoody's was for my little brother but Mum ordered a size too big so they don't fit him, I am wearing them until they do as they are epic! I love the furry lining in the blue hoody - it is so cosy!

Some of these clothes are still available to buy from Saltrock but some have sold out now, Mum has a discount code on her blog so make sure you check that out. These four items would have cost less than £40 which Mum says is very good value.

Which is your favourite?
